Since Erin and I are Maryland bound this Friday, I wanted to go to Seattle to see my family again, as well as sweet Rogan. Babies change so quickly – and indeed he looks so different from when I saw him at the end of August. He is looking more like his own self (and a real human!), and less like the baby alien clone that all newborns look like. Although, to be honest, he was pretty cute even then.
It was a great weekend all around. On Saturday night we all went to La Medusa, an amazingly delicious restaruant in Columbia City. My uncle Andrew has connections there because of the bakery – and the rest of us are grateful! I had the most delicious rigatoni and lamb dish. The lamb was spicy and tender. Literally one of the most delicious things I’ve eaten. Ever.
The fall colors are amazing in Seattle this year, and so I was glad to enjoy the foliage as well.
Sunday night it was back to San Jose to start a busy week at work, and a crazy week of packing and saying goodbyes. Today is Erin’s last day at work. Last I heard from her, it was just like any other day – except with cake 🙂
