Erin is off to work, and I am planning to spend the morning drinking coffee, going for a run, and doing absolutely nothing! 🙂

I have made some cranberry sauce (fun fact about me: I loathe canned cranberry sauce, especially the stuff that comes out shaped like a can) and I am going to pick up a bottle of Californian wine to bring to my friend Cherie’s house tonight for dinner.

Cherie and I met at a convention when we were about 9 years old, and we pen pals  – like we wrote hand written letters – for about 10 years. After that, we stayed in touch via e-mail a few times a year. I haven’t seen her in about 10 years but she lives in Maryland and was kind enough to invite us over for dinner. I’m so excited and thankful to have someone to spend this Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone has the opportunity to re-connect with friends and family this holiday – and I hope we can all avoid the mayhem that will follow tomorrow!
